Vadim, a young and successful Moscow investor, radically changes his life for the love of his girlfriend, Tanya. To earn the respect of Tanya's father, the stern metallurgist foreman Igor Romanovich, Vadim, who has never even held a plane, takes a job at a Ural metallurgical plant. The heat of the workshops, the crude humor of his colleagues, and the excruciating physical workload are just a few of the challenges he faces.
